Cecilia Kim
Cecilia Kim is a Korean-born video artist whose practice is shaped by interpersonal conversations on themes of labor, displacement, and the home. Kim has exhibited at the Museum of Contemporary Art Arlington (VA), The Kreeger Museum (DC), Hamiltonian Artists (DC), Kaplan Gallery (MD), The Immigrant Artist Biennial (NY), CICA Museum (Gimpo, Korea), and Pluripotent Art Space (Seoul, Korea). Kim was an artist in residence at the Banff Centre for Arts and Creativity, Virginia Center for Creative Arts, Ox-Bow School of Art and Artists' Residency, among others. Kim was a recipient of The Trawick Prize, WPA Wherewithal Grant, and Hamiltonian Artists Fellowship. She received her MFA from Virginia Commonwealth University and BFA from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago, and teaches at the University of Notre Dame.
