Alejandro Borsani
Alejandro Borsani (b. Argentina) is an artist whose work examines how Western science constructs nature as an inert object of appropriation. Combining sculpture, electronics, and computation, he creates poetic encounters with speculative worlds that challenge dominant technoscientific narratives. Through video, animation, and sound, his projects blend fact and fiction to explore sites with contested histories and uncertain futures. His work has been presented internationally in solo and group exhibitions, festivals, and conferences. Borsani is Associate Professor at the Rhode Island School of Design, teaching in the Experimental and Foundation Studies Division. He holds MFAs from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute and the University of Illinois at Chicago, and a BA from the University of Buenos Aires. He lives and works in Providence (US) and San Juan (Argentina).
